Big Labor, today you lost another one. The very people whom you compel your membership to cast it’s votes for, have caused the demise of yet more auto manufacturing plants. This time not only in Michigan, but in other states. Eventually you wont have anywhere to run off to when you have destroyed Michigan’s economy.
WILMINGTON, DEL. (AP) — General Motors is closing four truck and SUV plants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico as surging fuel prices is hastening a dramatic shift to smaller vehicles
CEO Rick Wagoner said Tuesday before the automakers annual meeting the plants to be closed are in Oshawa, Ontario; Moraine, Ohio; Janesville, Wis.; and Toluca, Mexico. He also said the Hummer brand may be discontinued.
And WHY might surging fuel prices be… umm Surging? Can you say “RUNAWAY ENVIRONMENTALISM?”
Look, I promise not to dump my antifreeze into the river, to not throw my hershey wrappers into the street, I’ll even commit to not peeing in the pool, but please people GIVE ME A BREAK! Unclear science, political ambition, and “feel good” policies are crippling the backbone of this country. Michigan was the leading indicator of the effects of the poison of the enviro nazis, yet the left still has all of you bamboozled, thinking that Iraq has something to do with our problem.
Union leadership, in it’s own quest for power and money has let the membership down, no.. BROUGHT THEM DOWN by supporting the equally power and money hungry Left liberal establishment, who by way of quid-pro-quo, reward those constituents. Those who put you in power, you feed. (you scratch my backside, I scratch yours, kind of thing)
Detroit WAS a powerhouse. Michigan WAS an industrial GIANT. The US once upon a time WAS able to compete, perhaps not in price, but in sheer quality over quantity. Michigan, traditionally able to resist recessions, and excel when times were good, now serves as a template for the fate of a nation. As the country continues to elect the lead eaters known as liberals, we will continue to pay $4+ a gallon, lose our rights item by item, and follow the fate of lesser countries into the hands of megalomaniac dictators, and no GDP.
Environmentalism is a religion, and it’s Jihad has been long planned. There are people who profit from it, but it is not the general population getting richer.
