Without going into all of the issues we discussed (as there are SOOO Many) We stumbled on the DNR funding option discussed recently ($9 added to plates) which i thought was a bit of a bad morphing of an idea I promoted here: http://michigantaxes.com/wordpress/?p=109.
I still thought maybe it wasn’t altogether a disastrous idea, but could sense his dislike for it, and I fully understand why. He has a business which buys.. A LOT OF LICENSE Plates.. I think he has a reasonable objection the the discussed tax. As usual, it is unfairly levied against one particular group or another. Perhaps we should look at the alternative again?
