Quisenberry Hails Detroit Reform Plan

Proposal to Increase School Choice, Improve Education

Dan Quisenberry, president of the Michigan Association of Public School Academies, regarding today’s announced reform plan for the Detroit Public Schools.

“A true commitment to education reform is grounded in providing schools, including charter schools, with autonomy to make staffing and other decisions that are good for students and their parents.  This plan is a great first step in reforming education because it recognizes that parents need choices and schools need the freedom to innovate to best educate our the kids.”
