The state of Michigan needs to ask for a refund.
The Michigan legislature LEGALLY moved the primary date to one the Democrat National Committee um…disagreed with.
The Primary, which cost the Michigan taxpayers MILLIONS, was conducted LEGALLY and without event.
The 14th amendment guarantees equal treatment:
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
The State of Michigan should petition the Federal government to enforce the law upon the Democratic National Committee. Unilaterally disarming Michigan voters of their say in the process without due process, yet benefiting of taxpayers contributions year after year clearly violates this provision. Particularly in lieu of other state’s votes being counted even though they had earlier voting.
The way I see it, the DNC should have these options.
1. Allow the votes cast to be counted.
2. Disallow all votes prior to and including the dates Michigan and Florida voted
3. Give Michigan Taxpayers a refund for the non voluntary labor and publishing costs associated with the Democrat primary effort in Michigan.
