And adding to the taxpayer burden, the cost increases are not limited to private enterprise either:
Costs are up $218,970 for active employee health care because of the ACA changes, Paula Whittington, Midland assistant city manager, recently told the Midland City Council. If traditional plans are eliminated and retiree plans lose their current exemptions, costs could go up an additional $378,450.
One commenter seems to think the 7% increase isn’t so bad.
That is where we are folks. Just suck it up, and forget the additional expectation of another 8% increase that is likely to happen.
