Mike Gillman (my father) on the city commission in Traverse City makes his objection known, to a contract that will be enacted only DAYS before the Right To Work legislation goes into effect. The bargaining unit and the city had been in discussion for nearly a year, but as the time drew closer, the union gave in to some demands by the city. Likely done so as to keep the shop a “closed shop until the contract ends in three years.
