At the beginning of 2010, I had no intention of entering politics as a candidate. In fact my ongoing attitude was that it was easier to criticize and offer suggestions to the politicians who were already in the field. At least the ones willing to accept when they were wrong or needed help on developing a position.
And now here I am, about to be sworn in 8AM this morning, to a position as county commissioner.
I was talked into Running. I was encouraged to try and win. And somehow with a little hard work, the same message you see here often, and some consideration by the voters, I beat the Republican incumbent in August, and won the general election in November.
Now it is I who gets to face the criticisms, and graciously accept the fact that I do not know it all. Great.
Shoe.. meet other foot.
