An attempt to relate obesity with minimum wage:

Real minimum wage decreases can explain 10% of the change in BMI since 1970. We conclude that the declining real minimum wage rates has contributed to the increasing rate of overweight and obesity in the United States.

I can’t figure out how they missed the connection to Global Warming. If people eat more junk food they cause more energy to be used to produce and transport it. There’s also more power required to run the elevators, and reduced gas mileage.

I’m also sure there is increased flatulence. Methane is far worse than CO2.

OTOH, there’s teenage unemployment. There’s a far out connection to _increased_ minimum wages.
