If you could pull ONE QUOTE from this..

Tonight our governor, Jennifer Granholm speaks on the state of the economy in the state of Michigan. In the following video I would encourage a look..   Oh What the heck, there is a lot of good stuff said before one of the most cogent points made by Newt Gingrich.. However..  Shoot right to 3:30 and let it run for a little.. in fact turn up the sound real loud and let it be driven home.

I present to you Newt Gingrich on O’Reilly.

Did you catch that?  Yeah.. thats right…

Both O’Reilly AND Gingrich make valid points as regarding our esteemed governor, and the Union control which has DESTROYED the economy in this state.  Newt Opines: “If you look at the governor of Michigan, there is no evidence that the governor has learned anything out of 6 years of economic failure”

We could certainly take that to the bank..  if it were safe.

    Ouch!

    But he’s right.

Everyone sees it but us… I got a text message this morning from a friend down in the Carolinas. She says:

“Sorry your state is so screwed up.”

    Us too.

I have to say that, in my opinion, there is hope. I sat in a room yesterday with my supervisor (who I think MIGHT be a Republican, but she doesn’t talk politics in the office usually) and two other co-workers who were both Obama supporters. My supervisor stated flat out that “our state government is too big, and needs to be drastically reduced.” Both Obama supporters agreed with her vehemently.

Hopefully, as we proceed through the Obama administration (especially with how much he’s struggling right now), it is certainly possible that many of these folks might turn toward a more reasonably sized government.

    I’m hopeful anyway.
