Stimulus Bill HR 1.

The pdf version is available online for your review. 111th congress HR 1 contains a lot of the fun the “bailout bill” had..  Special interest pork and is 647 pages long.. (Notice a trend here?)  I have pulled out a little “snippet” of the stimulus bill for a teaser, and recommend a long sit down to read.  You might actually turn it into a game of “who put that part in” and try to identify the sections, and the representative who thought it might do his or her district some good…

12 DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
EDUCATION FOR THE DISADVANTAGED

For an additional amount for ‘‘Education for the Disadvantaged’’ to carry out title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (‘‘ESEA’’), $13,000,000,000: Provided, That $5,500,000,000 shall be available for targeted grants under section 1125 of the ESEA, of which $2,750,000,000 shall become available on July 1, 2009, and shall remain available through September 30, 2010, and $2,750,000,000 shall become available on July 1, 2010, and shall remain available through September 30, 2011:

The section above reflects nothing more than a repackaged liberal throw more money at it for it to work play.  It is some legislator’s legislation that likely died at some point because it couldn’t stand on its own legitimacy.  The first bailout was exactly that, and even the good guys were fooled.  This time the pen is in the hand of the biggest socialist we have ever put in the office of president.

What the current congress is trying to do is analogous to what happens when you try to physically WALK from a plateau over a canyon to another plateau.  In the cartoons, and in the minds of the congress you might go so far unless you realize.. it ain’t possible, at which point you fall to your comedic dustpile.  They can “spend” the money, however at the point the deficit reaches a significant percentage of domestic product, the debt we will all carry becomes a catalyst for inflation of the likes we have never seen.

Our money becomes worthless.

Suggestion: work hard and hoard canned cream corn.  This is the biggest pig I have ever seen.

Do all our Congressmen and Congresswomen own bank stock? Nancy Pelosi wants more TARP money than the 700 billion already wasted

By James M. Hohman | 2/3/2012 The state’s teacher retirement system continues to increase burdens on taxpayers and local school districts.
