in one of my earlier posts, (Future of Property Taxes) I commented on the upcoming battle for funding based on property taxes in Michigan.

Our local paper on the FRONT PAGE today describes how a local couple who cannot sell their home at several thousand below assessed value is facing yet another property assessment increase. They will undoubtedly win in tribunal if it goes that far, but it demonstrates government’s inability to “let go” of our money, particularly in the same thrashing fashion that could be compared to a quicksand analogy.
