Taxes, restrictive business policy, and excessive regulatory practices. These are things government, and in particular Michigan government is good at. I complain regularly, and will always probably, in the spirit of “eternal vigilance.”
However, lest some think I have become sour on Michigan, nothing could be further from the truth. I have always lived here, raised my family here, and started at least 3 businesses here with varying success. It has been my base of operations, and it has been the root of my existence.
I love Michigan with a passion. That is why I fight for it through my somewhat limited writing skills and a bit of artistic satire. Michigan is”all that;” a description used to describe something or someone who fits the category of being the best of many attributes.
I can only hope that in the remainder of my time here, I see some real original thought in the approach to Michigan politics, the state’s operations, and fiscal responsibility. (not just to the state coffers) There are some smart people in the legislature, and some I would think are quite capable of solving our state budget issues. But they are sometimes silenced by the kid(s) who never learned how to “play nice” and is/are “intellectually & creatively stunted” to boot.
Michigan, is like the hottest car to ever roll off an automotive assembly line, but never gets a set of tires. All I am doing is screaming “This sweet car has no tires!”
This sweet car has no tires! – Pass it along.
