Shut it down.

Do not let the “polling” numbers fool you.  The Detroit News Reports:

While lawmakers are focusing on budget cuts, more than a quarter of Michiganians say that’s not the way out of the budget crisis, according to a statewide poll. Only 28 percent of likely voters support making cuts only, according to a poll by EPIC-MRA of Lansing. Some level of revenue increases to balance the budget was favored by 64 percent of respondents. The survey of 800 Michiganians taken Sept. 16-21 has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.

That 28% Might well be the people who foot the bill. Maybe next year if our legislators put off what NEEDS to be done,  it will be 14%.. if you get my meaning.

Shut it down.. and Put the Fair Tax motions in place.  Government does not apply burdens fairly, and Michigan government has lead the way in purposeful destruction of fairness for the last several years.
