Oooohh super sneaky sounding isn’t it? “Agenda!” A word that stands out and says someone has plans, and has been given a number, so it can be readily identified as a specific plan.  A simple name to denote a specific goal. Local Agenda 21

However, is more complicated than its name and the “plan” happens on a number of levels.

An event that is going to happen “internationally,” the “350″ festival demonstrates the doorknob mentality of the left, and its inability to have any form of consistency or at the very least parallel goals.  Considering the folks who traditionally align themselves with the “left”  typically vote for the “union” candidate as well.  Unions lobby heavily for the elections of those who heavily regulate using junk science to cover political aspirations.

If you are a “union worker” your interests are not being represented well.  The following is a representation of TWO events happening in Michigan TOMORROW.  That shining light of meteorological brilliance, Dave Barrons says:

Join me at 1 p.m. Saturday at Traverse City’s Open Space as northwest Michigan joins the worldwide action to reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide to 350 parts per million, the concentrations leading scientists agree we need to achieve. Learn more at TC350.org.

And then in Bay City they have their own event..

Eight-foot-tall numbers spelling out “350” were erected at the park on Wednesday in preparation for the event. The number refers to 350 parts per million, the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for the planet to avoid runaway climate change. Current levels hover near 400.

This is all for “the International Day of Climate Action”

yeah…  Heaven forbid we have too much PLANT FOOD in the air..  And never mind that all of the reasons (you know global WARMING) they have used to position this drivel as a public policy driver have failed to materialize.. I mean what the hell is up with our ol matron Gaea not cooperating with these Marxists and internationalists.?

Its just not fair…  but that’s OK with me.  These folks just love the comfort provided by cheap energy, the jobs created by cheap energy, the FREEDOM provided by cheap energy, but do not understand… you need CHEAP ENERGY for it to work!  It just seems strange that the Labor Unions typically support these types of people and issues..  Issues which are diametrically opposed to the service they should be providing their constituencies.

A Dichotomy.

As an aside.. I wonder if this event will be like that “lights out hour” they did earlier this year.. you know.. the one where the hypocrite Al Gore still had his palace lit up like Christmas.

But they are wrong, and one agency which is a part of the very government which proposes to “do more,” has determined that the global warming we had experienced (we are in a cooling cycle now) was due to [insert drum roll here] the sun.  That snake oil salesman, Al Gore, who either bought in for his own ends, or did so and profited coincidentally, is wrong, according to NASA. Michigan, which has seen CAFE standards raised to a level which has bankrupted two of the major car companies, and laid the groundwork for an irreversible destruction upon all the supporting industry here, is the victim of Gore and his mentor James Hansen’s fraud.

Who is James Hansen? He is the “chicken little” of the day.  He is the  father of the fraud known as Global Warming:

William Gray, a professor of atmospheric science at Colorado State University, also describes Hansen’s belief in a man-made global-warming catastrophe as “almost religious” and says he “never understood how [Hansen] got such a strong voice” in the debate. Gray’s efforts to predict hurricanes also lead him to question Hansen’s computer models. “He doesn’t have the clouds in right, and he doesn’t have the deep ocean circulation,” Gray says. “It’s a giant scam in my view.”

That’s right, a giant scam, a con, and with 200+ million marks to be milked, squeezed, and held as hostages by those who roll along with the plan, and profit from it.  200+ million suckers buying into the mental illness of one man, and further perpetuated for profit and power by many others.

Michigan in particular, has paid the price through its deep reliance on the automaking sector and travel for its economic vitality.  The cost of fuels and electricity have skyrocketed as a result of the fear mongering caused by Hansen and popularized by Gore.  The poor will again pay that larger percentage of their income to merely go to work due to the eager capitulation of congress to mandate even further, supporting higher energy costs, and limits on new fuel discoveries and use.

The country, the world, and Michigan is hurting.  But its not from Global warming, but rather the blind acceptance of a “green” religion that had no basis in fact.

Now we see if our leadership will “change course.”  Will we watch as excuses are made to hold onto unrealistic economy damaging policies that were initiated under this fraud of CO2 as damaging to our planet?  Perhaps, but only if we allow them to think we don’t know.  All I know is Michigan Winters are still pretty cold.

“Leave your car on during the night, leave the lights and television on around the clock, take flights to places you don’t want to go and eat as much red meat as humanly possible. ”

Another staunch supporter of global warming, Bruce Hall reminds us its not Michigan’s coldest January in 11 years.. its the 11th warmest.

Now everybody can be happy their particular perspective is understood.. Right? Well..  Lets jump a few weeks into the future here..

.. When the Heartland Institute will host its second International Conference on Climate Change, to be held once again in New York City March 8-10. Where the conference will feature presentations by over 70 scientists who are “skeptics” of the (dwindling) public perception that the world is inevitably headed towards global warming-driven catastrophe without mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions. (Among the top scientists who will speak will be the last living astronaut to have walked on the moon — Dr. Jack Schmitt. Schmitt wrote:

“As a geologist, I love Earth observations,” Schmitt wrote. “But, it is ridiculous to tie this objective to a ‘consensus’ that humans are causing global warming when human experience, geologic data and history, and current cooling can argue otherwise. ‘Consensus,’ as many have said, merely represents the absence of definitive science. You know as well as I, the ‘global warming scare’ is being used as a political tool to increase government control over American lives, incomes, and decision making …”

Paul Chesser of Climate Strategies Watch, a watchdog group which has chronicled the fraud perpetrated by Global warming alarmists and in particular, “Climate Strategies” is a major sponsor of the event.  Chesser as well as a number of renowned scientists and authoritative types will be attending and actively participating in the “debate” which is HARDLY over as Mr. “I am getting so freaking rich off this scam” Gore would suggest.
