Supreme Court Nominee Kagan Invokes Deja Vu

As simple as Bruce Hall’s analysis of Elena Kagan’s nomination process.

“we have to pass the bill [confirm the nominee] so that you can find out what is in it [her mind]….”

where have we heard that before?

His point should be well taken..  Hypocrisy, meet your newest likely enforcer.

That line is the equivalent of a self-proving proof in math class. You know, the kind that would get you a zero on that question on a test?

All that’s missing from the talk point are the words ‘crisis’ and ‘problem we inherited’ to make the triple play of liberal rationales. That’s tough to do for a judicial nominee so I imagine that’s why they stopped at “we have to []…so we can find out []”.

Deja vu? Forget about Obamacare, just look at how well our current president with zero executive experience is doing…

Here’s how Kagan’s Senate confirmation for the highest judicial position in the country should go:

Senator: Ms Kagan, please describe how you reached your decision in your most important criminal case.

    Kagan: Yada yada yada.

Senator: You never adjudicated a criminal case? OK, then tell us about your decision in your most important civil case.

    Kagan: Yada yada yada.

Senator: No civil case either? Wait, what? You don’t have any experience as a judge at all? OK.Thx.Bye… Next!
