As a small business owner we no longer look to hire anyone at the "minimum wage" experience level, they cost to much to train. I know several employees in my past that started with us as minimum wage positions and shortly after getting trained went to bigger firms and better career paths. Some of that is personal drive, but a chunk of it was being able to be trained to "work" which is woefully missing in younger folks today.

We are destroying the low end of work that is needed to get people moving to better jobs. Course the econ-suicide this country is playing with right now is not helping anyone.
