The Government and Unions go hand in hand and have caused a lot of the mess we see today. Wait...let me say that again, they have caused ALL the mess we see today.

Get rid of both of them and the United States can be great again.

1. On the loopholes.. remove government entirely except that which has a real effect relative to others. In other words get govt out of the face of manufacturing except where it has a REAL impact such as pollution, or other readily apparent negatives.

2. Climate change has happened for millions of years. This is not a call to end regulation on REAL polluting. Wealthier civilizations tend to protect their environment better as a rule.

3. Drill baby Drill. I understand there are other "preferred" sources. If it has an impact on the food supply I wouldn't want it used. Switch Grass (which you didn't mention) for example is said to "travel"and can take over food producing land. Then there are other effects which are sometimes not seen when "Grown sources" are used, like turning whole areas of land into unusable plots for any purpose. Perhaps a balance, but drilling here MUST be on the table. We have under the great lakes alone, a KNOWN supply with enough natural gas for more than 100 years of current use. The Shale formations (Dakota and Canada) enough for 60 years, then there are outer shelf supplies, and Alaska.

Technology for alternatives may not be "spurred" by NEED, but companies which are flush with cash have vibrant research and development departments. The best way to proceed is to let the natural market forces work, perhaps impose an "outbound" tariff on domestic fuels (though I haven't thought that through completely yet) to keep the maximum benefit at home, and rewarding the source locations.

4. An interesting take on currency.. Nothing wrong with throwing out a new and unexpected idea..

5. The box.. yeah.. still working on a wider format set up too.. expect a change soon.

Thanks for commenting.

"It is time to END Corporate Average Fuel Economy mandates."

IMO- Its time to remove the exemptions and loopholes if you want a petro based engine.

It is time to THROW OUT All “climate change” initiatives.

IMO- If expansion and growth is at the expense of the environment then no. If wacky psuedo-science then yes. Dumping poison into the air/water makes no sense to me.

It is time to ELIMINATE DEPENDENCE on foreign fossil fuels by growing our exploration here.

IMO- Forget drill, baby, drill. Switch to alcohol based fuels, and not corn which is only being touted as a kickback to agro-bizness concerns. Real production using crops that have serious capabilities to produce alcohol. Sugar beets, hemp, cattails, and other plants way out-produce corn.

It is time to ELIMINATE broad cradle to grave protections offered by our federal and state governments.

IMO- Totally agree especially for elected positions, it was "civic duty" to be elected to serve not golden parachutes. I would also adjust gov't. positions, if you cannot balance your budget, no retirement, limited health benefits for the next year till it balances. Just like private enterprises face.

It is time to STOP FEEDING the beast of debt which now threatens to consume our economy, the beast that turns all of our efforts, into those done in vain.

IMO- states need to develop their own currency tied to the wealth of the state. Say no thanks to federal dollars.

Your comment box is soooooo small , hard to type in.
