Defining Irony.

About a month ago, I SIGNED that ballot.  You know the one.  It has been a nice little secret up until recently when someone actually read it.

I hadn’t.  At least not more than the first paragraph. In fact, it was a quick scan, sign then bolting to get back to my day job.  I did what I encourage everyone NOT to do.  I failed to pay attention.  And for my lack of effort, the ballot access for a dubiously crafted CONSTITUTION altering behemoth is ONE vote closer.

The worst part, is that in the frail environment that is Michigan, it could see some forward moving force.  The state is messed up, people want a change, it ain’t working, etc.  People want to punish those in power.  Maybe when I signed it, that was what I was thinking, but I don’t recall.

The Irony, however isn’t in My signing, though I’ve found it stands for everything I truly oppose,  But because the true purpose of this initiative is to swing power into the hands of the very people who have created the catastrophe of which we are all participants.  The very people, who by spending what they do not have,  feel the need to impose higher penalties on the businesses and individuals who remain in this state.

Consistently, Liberal, Left, Spending like a sailor equals poor government  management.  The cuts actually outlined in the “reform” initiative would be a drop in the bucket of red ink Michigan would see, and continue to endure if this gets any traction. I truly apologize to Michigan and its great residents  for not staying my hand in this matter.  I am ashamed.  To reward the democrats in this state for what they have done to us?  This is truly, unequivocal irony.

Michiganders need to know about this “red herring” ballot initiative.

It is somewhat empowering to sign some ballot initiative somewhere especially if it is presented falsely, and the signature collectors are being paid on a per signature basis (they will say anything)

Every MI GOP supporter should get an email specific to this “issue” and not sign the proposal.

Thank you for your apology. Now regroup, get others to join you, and throw the bums out. Democrats or Republicans, who have voted against our best interest for their own, deserve to be removed. Your penance for signing and mine for failing to recall Speaker Andy Dillon will be to do all we can to defeat them at the polls. If this nightmare of a constitutional amendment makes it to the ballot, we have an obligation to do everything we can to defeat it. Count me as one on your side.
